¿Còmo estàn?

Hola a todos...

How is everyone doing?  Things are going well here in Sarandi Grande with Elder Jackson and I.  We are working hard and trying to find the people that the Lord is preparing here in our area.  To answer your questions... I got one letter from Grandma Linda today.  Yes, I am still doing piano lessons and we have 3 investigators taking lessons with about 4 members and now we are going to start English classes as well because there were a few people that wanted to learn some English this week.  It`s always fun to have piano classes, but it`s harder to get the people to come to classes now that it`s starting to get hot and they are finishing the semester with tests and exams.

The truth is that we really don`t have much time on P-Day to do many fun things because of our bus ride takes out an hour of our P-Day, but they just recently changed P-Day and our District meeting from being on the same day to different days so we`ll have a little more time now on P-Day.  We barely have time to wash our clothes, clean the house and write letters. but sometimes we play soccer with the zone and today Elder Jackson and I played UNO and took some picures here in Sarandi Grande.  There isn`t much to do here in this little town of Sarandi ¨Grande¨... They don`t have any restaurants (that don`t have bars) they don`t have any cool sights to visit, only two plazas to sit, relax and take pictures in.  So really there hasn`t been too much to report about P-Days, but I hope to be able to report more from now on that we should have a little more time.  And later today we are going to go look through the (5-6) stores that they have here to see if there is anything to buy as a memory or Christmas present here in Sarandi Grande.

The investigators aren`t progressing!!!  I don`t know what to do differently to help them have a desire to do their commitments.  They are all happy to see us and like to have us come over, but they never show up to church or read or pray like we commit them to do.  It`s a little tough right now. but we are pushing through it trying to find the way to have two baptisms in December.  The 85 year-old lady fell this week and injured her leg so she`s out of the running for December, but we did have a miracle this week... One of the less active families here, the Fly Family, told us that they know 4 people that are interested in knowing more about the church because their kids came to the activity we had where we watched the Joseph Smith movie in the church and ate refreshments, so we are having hopes with this family.

Congratulations Colin and Mason for getting your temple recommends!!!  The White Christmas is going to be a great experience for the both of you.  I love you all and am so proud of all the great things you are doing.  I hope mom continues to recover and that you can all have a great Christmas celebrating it the way it should be celebrated, with the family and little decorations and material things.  Service is the best Christmas present you can give.  Our mission president asked to think about what we can give Christ for Christmas this year.  I invite you to do the same and give a little more than you expect to receive.

Love,
Elder Gardner
